About Woessner Consulting
My name is Mike Woessner and I started Woessner Consulting in January of 2023 out of a desire to help retailers and small business owners achieve their desired goals. Prior to starting my consulting agency, I worked for thirteen years in corporate retail, most recently functioning as the head of a retail operations department for a popular teen retailer with over 300 stores. Throughout my career, I've spent countless hours developing and refining standard operating procedures and communication protocols for a retail store fleet and field leadership teams. I've developed several training programs to communicate best practices and roll out new technologies. I have worked very closely with IT teams to roll out new technology solutions to stores and have a passion for finding new solutions that simplify and streamline retail operations. I have also rolled out a robust omnichannel program in close connection with our e-commerce and logistics teams to allow our stores to start fulfilling online orders including ship-to-customer, pick-up in-store, and same-day delivery. I am a PMP-certified project manager through the Project Management Institute and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt which has further enhanced my understanding of how to effectively impact operations on a broader scale.
Recently I have developed a passion for working with small business owners to help them refine their operational processes and work with their teams to build forward-looking strategies and goals. I have found that my experience in retail operations translates very well into helping small businesses work through whatever challenges they may be facing - whether that's assisting with proper business formation, getting their accounting records in order, developing KPI reporting, establishing weekly business and strategy meetings, exploring different digital marketing strategies or helping improve the sales funnel process.
